What this Spanish word unscrambler does
Type your letters and this tool searches a Spanish word list instead of the English one. The list comes from rla-es, the free Spanish dictionary used by LibreOffice and Firefox. It has 606,780 forms, which includes plurals, feminines, and every verb conjugation. Forms with attached pronouns count too, so dímelo is in the list.
Every word you get back uses only the letters you typed. Each letter is used at most once, and a word can be shorter than your rack. Results are grouped by length, longest first. Within a length, higher points come first, then common words. You can filter by starting letters, ending letters, letters in the middle, or exact length.
Accents are ignored. Type como or cómo and you get the same results. The letter ñ is its own letter, so año and ano are two different words. That matches how Apalabrados, Spanish Scrabble, and Spanish Wordles treat them.
Blanks, points, and the two Spanish games
A question mark stands for a blank tile. You can also type an asterisk. A blank matches any letter and scores zero points.
Apalabrados and Spanish Scrabble use different tiles, so the same word can score differently. Spanish Scrabble adds CH, LL, and RR as single tiles. Apalabrados has no K, W, or digraph tiles.

In Apalabrados, chorro is C3 + H4 + O1 + R1 + R1 + O1 = 11. In Spanish Scrabble, CH is one tile worth 5, RR is one tile worth 8, and the two O tiles add 2. That gives 5 + 1 + 8 + 1 = 15.
The scores on this site do not include board premium squares. A double word square or a triple letter square will change your real score in the game.
Worked example: a, g, u, i, l, a
Say your rack is a, g, u, i, l, a. The longest word you can make is aguila, which is águila with the accent removed. It uses all six letters.
The same rack also makes 24 shorter words. Some of them are agua, liga, and gala. Each one uses a subset of your letters, so you can play them when the full word will not fit on the board.
Here is how the tool orders that list:
- Six-letter words first, like aguila.
- Then five-letter words, then four-letter words, and so on down to two letters.
- Inside each length, the highest point word comes first.
- When two words score the same, the more common one comes first.
You can also use this page as a Spanish anagram solver. An anagram uses every letter exactly once. If you type six letters and a six-letter word comes back, that word is an anagram of your rack.
What the list is and is not
The list is not the official FISE lexicon. FISE is the federation that publishes the official Spanish Scrabble word list, and this site does not use it. A word you find here may be rejected in a tournament game. A tournament word may also be missing here.

Two more things to know. The tool does not build multi-word anagrams, so it will not split your rack into two or three playable words. It also does not include proper names.
