Unscramblist is a set of free word-game tools: a word unscrambler, an anagram solver, a Wordle solver, Scrabble and Words With Friends finders and a pattern search. It exists because most solvers of this kind hide which dictionary they use and bury the words under advertising. Here the list is named, the matching and scoring rules are written down, and the words come first on the page.
Who runs it
Unscramblist is published by Galena Hall, a small independent publisher of education and reference websites.
How it is funded
The tools are free. The site may carry advertising in future. It sells nothing and takes no payment for placement.
Accuracy
The word list is ENABLE, a public-domain list of 172,823 words. It is close to the official game dictionaries but not identical, so check a rare word in the game before you rely on it. If a common word is missing or a score is wrong, tell us.
Privacy in one line
Everything runs in your browser. The letters you type are not sent to us. Details in the privacy policy.
